Invitation to Buffet Lunch at PJACC
An invitation by Rose Solano from Adventist Community Health Centre & ACC Lifestyle Cafe. It's the first Buffet lunch of the year with the theme "Asian Delights". This buffet lunch is an array of vegetarian dishes especially prepared for us to enjoy! Wow!
Definitely I'm going there with my family. The ticket is RM7. You can purchase it on the day of the event. The event is today (Sunday), March 25th at 12:30pm in the Petaling Jaya Adventist Community Health Centre / Seventh-day Adventist Church.

Motivational Talk on "The Power of a Positive Attitude" by Mr.Heera Singh

Madam Ling is truly a Professional Photographer from Multimedia University, Faculty of Creative Multimedia.Last year, together with Madam Ling, we attended this talk organized by Human Capital Division on 27 July 2011 (Wednesday) from 8am till 12noon at Dewan Tun Canselor, MMU, Cyberjaya. It's indeed very motivating. The speaker, Mr. Heera Singh is a dynamic and highly qualify trainer in management & organizational learning.
Attendance was actually compulsory for All Cyberjaya staffs, except those who had classes during the program were exempted. All Head of Departments, Deans & Directors. attended the talk. For staffs who attended this program, we're granted 2 Traning Hours. What a reward! A welcoming speech was given by Prof. Dato' Dr. Muhammad Rasat, President of Multimedia University.
He started his talk at 10am and finished by 12noon. Perhaps, MMU should invite Mr. Heera to speak to the students . Our students need to be motivated as well, so that they have a Positive Attitude for their study. I remember Mr. Heera challenged the audience with his own money. If anyone fell asleep during his talk, he would lose his money. Off course, he's the winner because no one fell asleep. Indeed, his humor made the audience stayed awake!
I'm not sure I dare to challenge a mass audience like that. It was a lot of laughters listening to him. I always hope to conduct my tutorial class with a lot of laughters together with students. I hope all MMU students get to hear from Mr.Heera to be motivated. Well, since I bought his book and motivated by Mr. Heera, I should in return motivate my students to have a Positive Attitude. Today in my class, one student said 'unfair' 21 times using Chat at MMLS. Surely, I can practice what I learned from Mr. Heera to transfer my learning to my students. A lot of challenges for learners nowadays. Hopefully, at the end of this trimester, this student will be motivated. We know that Life is always unfair. "Often, a learner drops out or withdraws not because he or she does not have the academic potential to accomplish the course work, but because he or she lacks time management skills and soon lags too far behind to catch up" (Wang & Gearhart, 2006, p.9).
I'm attending another coming talk organized by the MMU Counseling Unit. I'm also a qualified counselor, really need to keep myself update in this field. Lately, I was asked by my friend about Hypnotheraphy. I'm really glad that MMU counseling unit is organizing a Hypnotheraphy talk. Strange! I thought the counselor should perhaps organize a Motivational Talk. Instead of Motivational talk for students, Hypnotheraphy?
Anyway, I sign up to attend and the details are as below:
